You can start the course without a permit! Enter AB123456 as a placeholder during registration.
However, you must have a valid permit number on file before you finish the course. We cannot issue your Completion Certificate without it.
Important: Certificates are issued through a state system connected to the Ohio DPS/BMV. If the information in your account doesn't exactly match your permit, the certificate cannot be issued.

The course covers the State-mandated twenty-four (24) hours of course content, aligned with the Ohio Driver Training Curriculum. 24 hours is the minimum course time requirement; however, there is no maximum.
All coursework, including the Final Exam, must be completed within 180 days from the date you begin the course. If you do not complete the course within this allotted time frame, you will be required to start over, and a reinstatement fee will be applicable.
This course includes various assessments to ensure comprehension:
After each instructional video, you must answer a question. If answered incorrectly, the video must be re-watched.
Each module ends with a test requiring a minimum 75% passing score. You may retake quizzes/tests as needed.
The course concludes with a 50-question multiple-choice Final Exam:
Five timers are built into this course (State Requirement):
Tracks the total time you are logged into your account. This time is for informational purposes only and does not count toward the required course hours.
Tracks time actively spent reading course material, watching videos, or completing tests. Only Course Time counts toward Ohio's required 24 hours of Online Driver Education. Logging in without completing coursework will not increase your Course Time.
After 2 hours (120 minutes) of continuous study, the system will automatically log you out for a mandatory 15-minute break.
You may complete a maximum of 4 hours (240 minutes) of training per calendar day. Once the daily limit is reached, you will be logged out and may resume the course the following day.
If there is 15 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged out. Idle time does not count toward your Course Time.
Note: Only active Course Time (reading, watching videos, completing tests) counts toward Ohio's required 24 hours. Logging in without completing coursework will not increase your Course Time.
