WHAT WE OFFER: 
 
Eligibility Requirements: To enroll in the Ohio Online Adult Remedial Course, you must:
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have regular access to the internet
  • Complete our online registration form
  • Submit payment before course activation (course access begins immediately upon payment)
 
Time Requirements:
  • This 100% Online Course is approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety (DPS) and meets all state requirements for the Adult Remedial Program.
  • The course covers the State-mandated eight (8) hours of course content. 8 hours is the minimum course time requirement; however, there is no maximum.
  • All coursework, including the Final Exam, must be completed within 30 days from the date you begin the course. If you do not complete the course within this allotted time frame, you will be required to start over, and a reinstatement fee will be applicable.
  • You may complete the course in one day or spread it out over multiple sessions, as long as you finish within the 30-day period.
 
System Timers (Required by DPS):
Login Time: Total time logged into your account.
Course Time: Time actively spent reading course pages, watching videos, or completing tests.
Consecutive Time Limit: After 2 hours of continuous study, the system will automatically log you out for a mandatory 10-minute break.
Idle Time: If there are 15 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged out and idle time will not count toward your course time.

Testing Requirements:
This online course includes Unit Tests and a Final Exam. Throughout the program, short learning checkpoints will appear to confirm understanding. You will also be required to answer a question after each instructional video.
 
Video Questions: If answered incorrectly, the video must be re-watched before you may continue.
 
Unit Tests: Each Unit ends with a Unit Test, and a minimum passing score of 75% is required to move forward.
If a Unit Test score is below 75%:
  • The incorrect questions must be reviewed before retesting.
  • The Unit Test may be retaken as many times as needed until a passing score is achieved.
Final Exam: The course concludes with a 40-question multiple-choice Final Exam, which also requires a minimum passing score of 75%.
  • You have up to two (2) attempts to pass the Final Exam.
  • The Final Exam may be attempted only once per calendar day.
  • If both attempts are unsuccessful, the entire course must be repeated, and a reinstatement fee will apply.

 

WHAT'S NEXT? 

Once our Certified Instructor issues your Completion Certificate, you will receive it via email.

Student Information Accuracy: Students are responsible for ensuring that all registration and profile information matches the name and details on their Driver’s License or Learner’s Permit. If incorrect information is provided and a certificate is issued with those errors, a fee will be required to reissue a corrected certificate.
 
If you are taking the course due to a court order, you must provide the certificate to the appropriate court. If you are taking the course for any other reason, you must provide it to the BMV.

 

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Payments: Course payments are processed by Costech Technologies or Costech USA. Your receipt will display one of these names. Payments must be made by Credit Card (Debit Cards are not accepted).
 
Browser & Device Requirements: For the best experience, use Google Chrome and complete this course on a laptop or desktop computer. Using phones, tablets, or other devices may cause technical issues or affect course performance.
 
Privacy & Security: We collect only the information necessary to administer the course and verify student identity. Your information is encrypted and is never sold or used for unrelated marketing. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized course Administrators or Instructors for tasks such as updating progress, verifying identity, and issuing Completion Certificates.
 
Reinstatement Fees & Course Reset: If you do not complete the course within your 30-day access period, or if you fail the Final Exam twice, a Reinstatement Fee will apply. In accordance with State requirements, your course will be reset and must be completed again from the beginning.
